This type of compote was popular during the late 19th century and is now a collectible antique. The Tree of Life pattern, with its naturalistic and symbolic design, was a favored motif during the Art Nouveau era. This piece is 8 5/8" tall, and the compote bowl measures 8" across. The stem has a beautifully detailed hand atop a raised, fluted base. It's in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or scratches, and the glass is sparkling clear.
